Protest = More Shopping

As most of you probably know, the protests are ongoing in Bangkok.  There are tents in many areas with hundreds of people who have made them their homes.  They sleep and eat there, and even get massages on the road.   In the recent days, however, the protest sites have turned into new street markets.  I'm not sure how it all makes sense to the protest, but for us, it means we have been enjoying more shopping!

The King's Athem plays daily at 6 p.m. and everyone stops to sing along.  At the end everyone goes "ya ya ya" and so does Cristiano!

A street turned into a clothing store.  I bought two dresses for a total of $12.

Insects anyone?

Hair dye?!

I had to take a picture of this; the shirts in the back are the new designs.  Every few days it seems like new shirt designs come out for the protesters.  It's quite impressive how trendy they want to be!

This weekend the election is going through and apparently the protesters will be shutting down more roads. We will be keeping low and staying around the hotel as much as we can.
