They enjoyed their time here and we discovered some new places with them. Again, it was sad to see them go, but I am happy they left when they did because the protests started Sunday night. Anti-government protesters have filled the streets of Bangkok and their goal is to shut down Bangkok in hope of having the Prime Minister step down. Anyway, I am not going to go in detail but all that to say is if they would have been here this week, they probably wouldn't have been able to see much.
The best part about them being here was the interactions they had with Cristiano. After the second day we dropped them off at the massage parlour just before we went back to our room for the boys' bedtime. The next day when passing the massage parlour Cristiano asked me: "wainineh louled" as in "where are the kids". I died laughing. In his eyes they were his friends and they were entertaining so I guess he saw them as kids. That certainly was a huge compliment to them. The things he comes up with! He also called my uncle Samir "chicken" when my uncle wouldn't go down in the water because it was too cold.
Here are some pictures we took with them on our last day while relaxing by the pool after a long day at the outdoor weekend market (Chatuchak).
