Monkey City

The title of this post is not a joke...we really went to a monkey city.  It is not just the name of a city that once had monkeys, it is the name of a city that still has monkeys; monkeys everywhere like cats and dogs seen more typically in cities we know.  The monkeys are on the sidewalks, in the streets, eating, picking fleas off of each other, sleeping, etc.

We visited Monkey city on our way to Hua Hin. We didn't know about it, it was our driver that suggested it and we were so glad he did.  In the city there is a temple in a cave and in that particular area there are monkeys everywhere.  We stopped in for a visit.  Mike, Stephanie and Cristiano visited the temple, while I stayed in the car with Adriano. It was too dangerous for Adriano to get out of the car, but I got to feed the monkeys bananas from my window.

Stephanie feeding the monkeys.  It was sad, the bigger monkeys didn't let the little monkeys eat.

This visit ended up being one of the most notable ones for me.  I love monkeys!
