'Tis the Season

Surprisingly there are so many Christmas decorations in our area of town.  I really didn't think we would see any Christmas decorations given that Buddhism is the religion that is mostly practiced here, but I guess the decorations are put up for the tourists and to encourage shopping!  The city is definitely way more decorated than Ottawa, which is very sad.

The funny thing is that since we have arrived, a new piece of decoration has been added almost every day, even until just a few days ago. The workers work very slowly but meticulously.  Some decorations are very nice, others are tacky, but we are happy to see them as they help us get into the spirit of Christmas.

Of course, it's not the same without the snow. I know many of you reading this won't understand as you are sick of all the snow, but when you don't have it, you miss it, especially around this time of year.  It's better when it's a white Christmas.
