A word of advice, "in the coming year, enjoy every single moment - the good, bad, beautiful, ugly, inspiring, and the not-so-glamorous and thank God through it all." Never take anything for granted, never hold grudges, and always keep the ones you love close. Life is too short...really too short.
We had a nice relaxing day and in the afternoon we took the kids to the park and had dinner together. Nothing too special for New Year's Eve but all that we can do with the kids. At home we had some ice cream and then hung out a little passed their bedtime. Luckily from our room we got to see a fireworks show practice run. Very happy Cristiano got to see them.
After bedtime, Michael went out with a friend to see what was happening in the streets of Bangkok for New Year's Eve. I went out alone for a little bit to see for myself after he returned. It was very cool to see some of the new decorations (they changed them pretty quickly after the Christmas decorations were put down). It was especially cool to see the crowds and hear the music playing.
Although we didn't party tonight, we had the best view of the fireworks shows around town. We are on the 17th floor with no buildings in front of us so we saw many of the shows taking place in the city of Bangkok. It was pretty awesome and a very special way to celebrate the new year. It was so loud the windows were shaking. I'm surprised it didn't wake the boys up.
Happy New Year everyone! We love you, miss you and are anxious to see you in 2014.
