This is another look back at our earlier time here in Bangkok. Back in December, we visited Jim Thompson's house. Jim Thompson is an American who came to Thailand in the 40s and revitalized Thailand's silk industry. There are Jim Thompson stores all over Bangkok that sell silk fashion. He, however, disappeared in the late 60s and was never found.
We visited his home, which is now a museum, and the tour was great. It gave us so much information about how Thai people build their homes. I really enjoy seeing how people live and this was the only glimpse I have gotten on how well-to-do people live in Thailand.

| We weren't allowed to take pictures inside - this is the only picture I was able to take. This room was open onto the garden. |
| Behind the house there is a canal that runs through. There are similar canals all over Bangkok. People live by these canals and the boat is a river taxi. |
| Apparently you have to jump in and out - of course while it is stopped. |
| He loved seeing the boats pass. |
| The tarp is to cover from all the water that splashes in. |
