Happy Valentine's Day 2016

Happy Valentine's Day everyone.  We hope you had an enjoyable weekend. We were made aware by many that it was a super cold weekend in Canada.  On our end the days are getting hotter and hotter.  When we first got here the weather was just perfect.  Hot but not too hot and at times cool enough for long sleeves.  However this weekend, it was hot! We are told it will get significantly hotter.  We are definitely not complaining, just giving you an idea.

Back to Valentine's day.  We started our celebrations Friday by doing a craft for dad.  The boys were very proud of what they did, especially Adriano.  Mike told them he would take the butterflies to work with him on Monday.

On Saturday the boys and teita made mini heart shaped pancakes with their new aprons I bought them from the Japanese dollar store the other day (everything for two dollars but better quality).

They love cooking and made sure to tell teita that they make pancakes with jeddo Ezzat too

Then the boys played in the kiddie pool we bought them for the balcony because the pool in our building is still freezing.  The kiddie pool has been a hit.

Michael wasn't liking the sun in his face

At night, Mike and I went out on a double date with Mike's colleague and his wife.  It was nice to step out of the house without having to carry a back pack or a child!  It was also nice to dress up and get some time alone with Mike.  We went to Red Sky Bar and the view from the 55th floor was of course spectacular.  A nice dinner with great company and luckily the kids cooperated.  Thank you mom for watching the kids - not sure what we will do when you leave!

My King Crab salad with caviar and quail eggs...yikes!  A new experience for me

Mike went the safe route and had a Caesar salad

My Snow Fish hidden in there - it was not bad

Today, Valentine's day, we took the kids to Imaginia Playland.  I will write about it another day but to sum it up the kids had a blast.

The kids also bought teita a super cute mug and Cristiano ended the weekend by saying "thank you for everything".  I guess it was a good weekend!

Blowing kisses....

To teita...
