Our Trip to Phuket

With my parents in Bangkok we started off their stay with a trip to Phuket. It didn't feel right to go to Thailand and not visit Phuket!

Simply put - we had a blast in Phuket!  It was hot in Bangkok but we felt the heat much more in Phuket and we finally all got some colour, even Michael and Adriano (he still has a cute farmer's tan).  We spent almost every minute in the water, either in the pool or in the sea, but mostly in the pool.  The under currents were really strong in the sea which made it difficult to swim with the kids. I can say I was very afraid to have them slip out of my hands.

The resort was beautiful, especially because it was built as per typical Thai architecture.  From what we saw however, I would agree with others who have said the same, that beaches in the Caribbeans are so much nicer.  We didn't make it to Kho Phi Phi island, which is I guess the beautiful part of the Phuket area, but we didn't feel it was worth the hassle of the trip with the kids. We just wanted to stay at the resort, enjoy the warm pool and the relaxing time, and that we did.

Thank goodness for Cheerios.
