A Weekend in Paradise

After a nice but not so relaxing trip to Japan, we decided for our next trip we just wanted beach, beach and more beach.  And luckily beach, beach and more beach is what we got.   Cristiano had a mid-term break and we knew when we wanted to travel but we had no clue where.  Although we left things to the very last minute we ended up having a wonderful trip.  We finally decided to stay in Thailand and travel to Hua Hin, which is about 3 hours away from Bangkok.  Our first experience there three years ago we were not impressed but we were crossing our fingers the place and location we picked this time would not disappoint and it sure did not.

We traveled with our friends and their two kids and stayed right on the beach in a four bedroom villa. It was the PERFECT location.  It was a very quiet destination and the beach access just outside our back door felt almost private.

(due to internet issues this post took me hours to do - this is why my pictures are not necessarily in order - I gave up!)

I thought I would start with how I started my days; the perfect view of the sunrise.  It was the first time I was thankful for early morning wake up curtesy of our kids!

Even daddy's took no time to start enjoying the sand in front of our villa

Group shot

Mastering the group shot selfie...now I know how its done

Yup, that is sand on his mouth.  He was not eating it, just rolling in it and accidents happen

He was having so much fun, minus the sand and salt in his mouth

And so was he

Taking a break indoors just before getting ready for evening routine. Surprisingly, even though we had five kids in the house it was never chaos.  They all behaved and all got along - bonus!

Luckily our friends had their nanny with them which meant we were able to enjoy adults only nights out and about.  Our first night we escaped and had a delicious dinner by the ocean.  It was some of the best Thai food I have eaten and it was so cheap.  It was also one of the only three restaurants in the area.

The food was so good and so was the company and the location

In the mornings we also feasted with freshly baked goods and perfect eggs Benedict

This was the hotel we were staying at, but our villa was a few properties away so we walked along the beach or took a shuttle there and back for breakfast time

Another morning feast

On our last evening, the low tide created a few islands and very shallow waters on the shore.  Around the islands were starfish right at our finger tips.  It was beautiful.  There were so many we had to be careful not to step on them.

He was fascinated by it and wanted to grab it so badly

Best buds!

Creating Beautiful memories

Enjoying every minute playing in the sand.  this was at the back of our villa.  Our villa is to the right.

Swimming in the pools created by low tide

The beautiful properties on our strip.  There weren't many. It was a very quiet location

Our last group shot enjoying the pool near the breakfast restaurant.  The perfect end to a wonderful get away.
